It’s New Years Eve and we’re only a couple hours away from 2022. It’s crazy to imagine that 2021 actually was only one year with everything that happened during it. I had a lot happen to me including losing my job temporarily while dealing with an accident that caused me to need surgery to repair a very broken wrist; I broke both bones in my dominant wrist.
There’s a lot of cliches when it comes to resolutions people make for the new years, but there are a few things I really do want to accomplish.
1) Get a permanent position somewhere that I can see myself staying at for at least 3 years that I can feel stable in. I want to make enough money to not be stressed about it, but happy with the people I work with and the work I do.
2) Practice my instruments more, especially when my community ensembles start back up again. I look forward to all of that starting up again.
3) Move to a new housing situation. My current apartment building has started causing a lot of problems. I want to move somewhere with better management and in a building that I don’t feel as unsafe in. This requires a better paying position though to have a chance.
