I know I left for almost a month. This was due to certain things beginning to take off. I’m about to graduate high school very soon and that made me nervous. It caused me to spend some time figuring out my grade situation and work on other things than the blog.
I’m sorry about that and will try and avoid it in the future, but these things do come up. Enjoy the post and I hope to be back weekly again. I don’t know if it will be this month, but it’s almost summer meaning I will have more time to post frequently again.
I was sent this by a friend. I am not sure the exact reason, but it got me thinking about something. Anyone who knows me, including him, knows that I’ve always been a more quiet person to those around me unless I know them. It’s mainly due to nerves and low self-confidence.
People argue about the idea of whether or not we choose what happens in our lives or if it’s planned out and there’s nothing we can do about it. I believe that although our lives are influenced by others around us, we still choose how we’re going to live. We choose what we are going to do with our lives at the end of the day.
Our parents can’t determine who we are going to be. They can only try their best to influence us in a positive way and hope for the best in some situations. That’s just how people are; we all have our own lives and own personalities.
For some, this is a positive thing to think about. The idea that we have the ability to do whatever we think we will enjoy. In some other ways, that’s a great fear. Let me explain..
Some people like the idea of having a specific path already chosen for them. It gives them security and hope that everything is going to work out alright. Even if it’s not exciting, at least they never need to think about it and can just go through their lives. The people that go through college and get a basic job in accounting or something like that to make ends meet. They enjoy working and like their co-workers, but they always feel like they just want each work day to be over
Then there are the others. The people, like some I know, that are going to be different. They are going to choose to go into business situations and try and create what others haven’t. Those are the people that take advantage of that special chance. They spend their days doing the thing they enjoy. They either dream about it all their lives or they realize what they want and they take the chance and it works out for them.
I’m not saying it’s always going to be a success, but there are certain types of people that are going to need to take that chance. I’m not insulting those that don’t or aren’t that way; we all have something to contribute, but sometimes a person just has a different way of evolving us.
Thanks for reading this post and I hope it got someone out there thinking. I will return to writing poetry soon, but for now I just wanted to get people thinking and remind the few of you that read these that I am still here.
See you all in the comments hopefully or on twitter. Any advice is welcome and I hope to get prompts from some of you.
