My Post
I went on vacation during 4th of July to visit my dad that lives in the southern part of Texas along with his family. I hadn’t been able to have a real trip to see him in the last 2 years due to covid protocal and concerns surrounding work with policies on leaving the state. I had only seen him for 5 days due to a funeral happening for my grandfather which wasn’t nearly enough time for either of us to spend with each other. I forgot what it was like to deal with the heat in the summer since I’ve been visiting in the winter for years now.
The range of temperature had the highs in the 100s every day I was there and, being someone from Ohio, those numbers never happen for us. We only could go outside to get in the water or be on the way somewhere; we couldn’t be out there for the fun of it until late at night. I miss my dad, but in the future I hope to visit in the cooler parts of the year again because it was miserable outside most of the time.
Any of you that live in these more southern states or countries, please reach out to friends and family. Make sure everyone is staying hydrated and healthy in this heat. We’ve even had many 90s days in Ohio this year. Stay safe and hydrated out there and take care of your pets and family.
